Is the review done by AI?

Yes — and we say so plainly. Two independent AI engines (Anthropic and OpenAI models) appraise the manuscript blind to each other, a deterministic layer recomputes statistics where the reported numbers allow, and serious or critical findings face an adversarial verification pass before they reach your report. No human reads your manuscript as part of the analysis; operational access is limited to logged security review. How the engines are run and version-stamped is described in the methodology section.

Who can see my manuscript and report?

Only you, and anyone you explicitly name as a recipient. Organization admins never see content or severity. Manuscript content reaches the model providers through their commercial APIs, which do not use API submissions for training. Content is retained 90 days by default, then purged. How long does a report take?

Reports are processed automatically, and delivery time varies with package complexity and service availability. You can keep working — we email you when the report is ready.

What if my submission can't be processed?

If we cannot process a paid submission — a file that fails security screening, or a package we cannot read — the report fee is refunded in full to your original payment method. Refunds for delivered reports are at our discretion.

I revised my manuscript after the review — did I fix what was flagged?

Run a re-review: for $15, a manuscript we already reviewed gets the full two-engine validation again on the revised draft, plus a finding-by-finding comparison against your first report — which findings are no longer flagged, which are still flagged (with any severity change), and which are new. The comparison matches findings by domain and content and is a reading aid, not proof that an issue was fixed. One re-review per study.

Is using RigorMD allowed before journal submission?

RigorMD is pre-submission decision support on your own manuscript — the same category as running a reporting checklist or asking a departmental statistician to look before you submit. It is not peer review. If your target journal asks about AI assistance, disclose per its policy; the report is yours to use either way.

Can RigorMD replace a biostatistician?

No. A biostatistician designs your analysis and works from your raw data; RigorMD is a check on the finished manuscript. It recomputes what your reported numbers allow and flags methodological and statistical issues for your judgment, but it never sees your dataset and does not replace a statistician's design input. Use it alongside statistical support, not instead of it.

What files should I include?

Upload the full package: the manuscript, plus tables, figures, any supplement, the cover letter, and the title page. PDF and DOCX are both accepted, and you confirm what's included before checkout. The more of the package you include, the more the deterministic checks can reconcile — table numbers against the abstract, denominators against the reported percentages, cited DOIs and PMIDs against the registries.
