For context: dedicated biostatistical review is the right call for study design and analysis planning — and it is scarce, often institutionally gated, and priced accordingly. RigorMD is the standardized check you run on the finished manuscript before submission: it flags what a methodological reviewer is likely to flag, shows its arithmetic, and costs less than a single page charge. It was designed by one of RigorMD's founders — an academic surgeon and statistics expert with more than 100 peer-reviewed publications, an editor of a major surgical journal. It does not replace a statistician's design input, and it does not certify. See it for yourself in the sample report, or read how the review options compare.

§02 Author questions

Is the review done by AI?

Yes — and we say so plainly. Two independent AI engines (Anthropic and OpenAI models) appraise the manuscript blind to each other, a deterministic layer recomputes statistics where the reported numbers allow, and serious or critical findings face an adversarial verification pass before they reach your report. No human reads your manuscript as part of the analysis; operational access is limited to logged security review. How the engines are run and version-stamped is described in the methodology section.

Who can see my manuscript and report?

Only you, and anyone you explicitly name as a recipient. Organization admins never see content or severity. Manuscript content reaches the model providers through their commercial APIs, which do not use API submissions for training. Content is retained 90 days by default, then purged. Details: Security & confidentiality.

How long does a report take?

Reports are automated and queue-free: most full assessments return by email within hours, and larger packages take longer. You can keep working — we email you when the report is ready.

What if my submission can't be processed?

If we cannot process a paid submission — a file that fails security screening, or a package we cannot read — the report fee is refunded in full to your original payment method. Refunds for delivered reports are at our discretion.

Is using RigorMD allowed before journal submission?

RigorMD is pre-submission decision support on your own manuscript — the same category as running a reporting checklist or asking a departmental statistician to look before you submit. It is not peer review, and it does not certify. If your target journal asks about AI assistance, disclose per its policy; the report is yours to use either way.
